  • 2:30 PM

Apra Maryland's own, Joanna Schofield, Samantha Day, and Elise Saltzberg will be presenting at The 2020 Maryland Nonprofits & MARFY Annual Conference:

From researching grants and corporate giving opportunities to identifying new major giving prospects from your existing donor pool or in your community, elements of prospect research are part of someone’s job description at nearly every organization. This session offered by the Maryland chapter of Apra (formally the American Prospect Research Association) will provide an introduction to using data and research to maximize your resource development efforts. Strategic ways to segment your constituents; methods for identifying a major gift prospect; and free and paid prospect research resources for organizations of all sizes will be covered.

Learning Objectives:

• Harness data analytics and prospect research to maximize the effectiveness and potential of resource development efforts at their respective organization

• Perform the basics of data analytics and prospect research at their respective organization(s) using an understanding of the free and paid resources available

The 2020 Maryland Nonprofits & MARFY Annual Conference on October 14 & 15  features 30 live, real-time, and interactive break-out sessions in tracks like leadership, human services, marketing, and diversity, equity, & inclusion. Networking is an important part of the event and you’ll be encouraged to make meaningful connections through one-to-one speed coaching sessions, virtual chat rooms, and an online exhibit hall.
