Theresa Clark, President
Associate Director of Donor Data and Analytics, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Columbia, MD
Theresa has over 9 years of experience in data analysis & reporting, prospect research, prospect development & strategy, moves management, donor relations, and fundraising operations. She has been an Apra Maryland member since 2014, and during 2018 became a member of the Apra Maryland board. She is a graduate of James Madison University, in Harrisonburg, VA, where she majored in Health Communication and double minored in Statistics and Sociology. A native of northern Virginia, Theresa has been a proud Baltimore transplant since 2015. Frequent travelers, she and her husband share their Pigtown townhouse with three rescue cats. When not traveling to random international locales, Theresa can be found downhill skiing at high speeds, axe throwing, or on a contemplative hike.
Joanna Schofield, President Emeritus
Development Officer, Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse at Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, MD
Joanna Schofield has experience in nonprofit development, business management, and education. She is passionate about program development, intentional collaboration, data-driven solutions, technical advancements, and strategic growth. Joanna has spoken at Apra PD International Conference in Nashville and Phoenix, served on Apra International's Chapter Leadership Committee and was Membership Chair for Apra Maryland. She has a degree in International Development and is pursuing an MA in NGO Management. In her spare time, Joanna loves road trips and hiking. She lives in Sykesville and stays busy with her two daughters in college, husband, two cats, and two dogs - a Pointer and Great Dane mix.
Nestor Ashbery, Treasurer
Senior Analyst of Strategic and Data Enrollment Planning, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD
Nestor is currently the Senior Data Analyst for Undergraduate Admissions at Johns Hopkins, where he specializes in in-depth data analysis, data visualization, and reporting to drive strategy for the admissions process. His previous experiences include time as a freelance data analyst and computer specialist, a database specialist and data architect at World Relief, and a freelance proofreader/copy editor. Nestor has an MS in Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and a dual BS in Pure Mathematics and Physics from Towson University. Nestor is currently the longest-serving member on the board and provides steady financial accounting, guidance, and insights.
Frank Choi, Leadership Development
Channel Sales Associate, DonorSearch, Marriottsville, MD
With 20 years in the Development field, Frank Choi has focused much of his career in prospect research and management. He has worked at varied institutions such as The Philadelphia Orchestra, Temple University, Johns Hopkins University, Children's National Medical Center, and McDaniel College. Throughout his career, Frank has managed databases and leveraged wealth screening platforms to direct prospect research and pipeline management. Now a Channel Sales Associate at DonorSearch, Frank uses his years of expertise to assist with partner relationships and in building resources and infrastructure related to the DonorSearch platform.
